In 2020, the Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds agreed to partner with Mitchell Berean Church to host a Christian concert on the Sunday leading into the week of Fair. Sidewalk Prophets was slated to be the artist performing, but due to — 2020 — , the tour was cancelled, and the Christian event looked like it wouldn’t happen. Not to be easily defeated, Pastor Jon Simpson recommended the stage and sound accommodations be utilized for a night of worship for the church. Ken Boehr, Worship Arts Pastor at MBC, built on the idea and proposed a community night of worship with like-minded, Gospel missioned churches. Several phone calls later a meeting was planned, and the rest is history.
